VHO - The goal of the planning is to protect the original elements of the relic, thereby preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the historical relic, the national scenic spot of Ba Trieu uprising to become a valuable spiritual and cultural tourism center, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.

On April 14, in Nua town (Trieu Son district), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa organized the announcement ceremony of the Plan to preserve, restore, embellish and promote the value of historical relics and national scenic spots of the Ba Trieu uprising site including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple, and Am Tien in the period of 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045.

In 248, after raising the flag of uprising at Quan Yen mountain (now in Dinh Tien commune, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province), Ba Trieu and her army advanced to Nua mountain area (in the territory of Trieu Son, Nong Cong, and Nhu Thanh districts) to build up forces and prepare for the resistance war against the Ngo invaders.

Today, on the sacred peak of Ngan Nua, there are still many vestiges and legends about Ba Trieu and the glorious uprising she led.

To promote the value of the worthy relic, on March 27, 2009, the historical relic and scenic spot of the Ba Trieu uprising including Nua Mountain - Nua Temple - Am Tien was ranked as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The plan for conservation, restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of the historical relic and national scenic spot of Ba Trieu uprising was approved by the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 5158/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2024.

Accordingly, the total planning area is 1,087.55 hectares, within the administrative boundaries of Nua Town, Trieu Son District; Tan Tho and Tan Khang communes of Nong Cong District; Mau Lam commune of Nhu Thanh District.

In which: Trieu Son district has an area of ​​852.9 ha (belonging to Nua Town); Nong Cong district has an area of ​​117.4 ha (belonging to Tan Khang Commune, Tan Tho Commune); Nhu Thanh district has an area of ​​117.25 ha (belonging to Mau Lam Commune).

The long-term planning goal is to preserve, restore, and embellish the historical relic and national scenic spot of the Ba Trieu uprising site (including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple, and Am Tien).

At the same time, turn the relic into a tourist attraction of special value, contributing to strongly promoting the socio-economic development process in the locality.

Thereby, to deploy and concretize the Master Plan for tourism development in Thanh Hoa province, to propose development orientation plans on the basis of integrating and promoting local socio-economic development goals.

Forming a spiritual and cultural tourism center, combined with ecological and humanistic tourism, to meet the high demand of domestic and foreign tourists coming to worship, visit, relax and have fun.

Make this place a special destination of Thanh Hoa and Vietnam tourism for domestic and international tourists and friends.

The short-term planning objective is to establish and determine the boundaries for protecting relics; build a list of investment projects, preserve relics in accordance with the ability to mobilize capital sources; attract investment capital, establish investment projects for construction, design, construction and management of construction, restoration, embellishment and promotion of relic values...

The content of relic planning aims to determine the boundaries of the relic protection area, and adjust the expansion or narrowing of the relic protection area.

Directions for conservation, restoration and embellishment of relics include: Ba Trieu Temple, Nua Temple, Am Tien, Co Tien Well, Trinh Temple, and Ngai Tu Nua Temple...

The implementation of the Plan is divided into 5 component project groups.

Project group for compensation, site clearance, boundary marker planting to protect relics; Project group for restoration, embellishment and promotion of relic values.

Project group to build works to promote the value of relics associated with tourism development; Project group to train human resources and improve the capacity to protect relics.

Project group to promote tourism and tangible and intangible cultural values.

The total investment according to the plan is expected to be nearly 12,200 billion VND from the budget and other legally mobilized capital sources.

The implementation of project groups is arranged in order of priority during the period from 2025 to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Speaking at the planning announcement ceremony, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Quang Trong requested relevant units and localities to carry out construction activities according to the approved planning.

Implement the management of historical relics and scenic spots - Ba Trieu Uprising Site (including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple, Am Tien) according to current regulations of law.

Trieu Son district reviews and adjusts the general planning of Nua town. In the process of organizing the establishment of the general urban planning, it is required to update the contents of the Project on the conservation, restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of historical relics and national scenic spots of the Ba Trieu uprising site (including Nua Mountain, Nua Temple, Am Tien) for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045, ensuring consistency and synchronization between planning types.
