The 8.5 km elevated section of the Nhon Metro Line will operate commercially, with a ticket price of VND12,000/trip/route; free for children under 6 years old, meritorious people, seniors over 60 years old, and people with disabilities.
On August 7, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) and the Hanoi Railway Company (HMC) cleaned the entire route, preparing the final work before the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station elevated metro line goes into operation. Video and photos of the experience of the Nhon Metro elevated section:
Urban railway project No. 3, Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section uses 10 specially designed French trains, starting from station S1 (Nhon) at Hanoi University of Industry.
With the theme "Green Journey", the train has three colors: green, pink, red and white.
Waiting room and ticket counter of the line. Train tickets are designed in the form of magnetic cards. Magnetic stripe cards (stored value cards) can be loaded with money and used multiple times.
The automatic ticket counter is designed with a touch screen, so passengers can choose the station they want to go to and check the price.
Daily ticket 24,000 VND is valid for one day and unlimited number of trips; monthly ticket 200,000 VND, priority for students 100,000 VND/month...
People can pay by cash or credit card.
In addition, people can also buy tickets online at the counter.
In the first 3 months, the route opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., with trains running every 10 minutes.
In the future, depending on passenger needs, appropriate adjustments will be made.

Through testing, placing a bottle of water on the window while the train was running, the vibration was minimal, proving the smooth operation and quality of the train.
50 train drivers traveled 3,000 km on the route before being certified.
The train's operating speed can be up to 60 km/h.
Fire extinguishers are located under the seats of the train.
Each train car has a security camera system connected to the cockpit and the dispatch center.
Electronic information boards combined with loudspeakers will notify train passengers before arriving at the station.
The elevated section of the line is 8.5 km long, from Nhon to Cau Giay, including 8 stations: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8).
Each train has 4 cars.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Nguyen Ba Son, Deputy Head of MRB, said that the unit is still waiting for the decision on the commercial operation date.
MRB expects the line to be operational in early August 2024.
