Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City attended and chaired the meeting.

The meeting was attended by 200 delegates representing more than 468,000 ethnic minorities in Ho Chi Minh City. These are the core elements to connect the spirit of solidarity in the ethnic community and solidarity within their own ethnic groups, a very solid bridge between local Party committees and authorities with ethnic minorities, actively contributing to socio-economic development and political security, order and safety in the locality, building, consolidating and promoting the strength of great national solidarity.

The meeting program acknowledged the valuable contributions of ethnic minorities in Ho Chi Minh City in various fields. Thereby, continuing to promote the good traditions and positive roles of typical ethnic minorities in participating in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns launched by the government, the Fatherland Front and organizations, contributing to building a strong national unity bloc.

The proposals and recommendations of ethnic minority delegates focused on groups of issues such as: Paying more attention to mechanisms and policies for prestigious people in ethnic minorities, strengthening equipment for the grassroots health system, increasing spending on health insurance for ethnic minorities, establishing ethnic boarding schools and creating conditions for ethnic minority children to study at preparatory schools in Ho Chi Minh City...

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent New Year greetings to the delegates; at the same time, he emphasized the important role of the great national solidarity bloc in building and developing Ho Chi Minh City. Many excellent production models, typical individuals in studying, working, and working of ethnic minorities are appearing more and more and the quality is getting higher and higher, contributing to the overall development of the city.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders give New Year gifts to ethnic minority delegates.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc called on the outstanding ethnic minority representatives to continue to promote their intelligence, prestige, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility; spread the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, continue to expand their influence, inspire their efforts, and connect ethnic minorities. Thereby, together with the Party Committee, the government and the people of Ho Chi Minh City, they will join hands to strive and actively contribute to the cause of building and developing the city.

Thu Duc City and districts, when implementing local socio-economic development tasks, need to step up propaganda and mobilize ethnic minorities to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and special events of the country and city in 2025, first of all, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975/April 30, 2025).
