This award once again demonstrates FPT 's efforts in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and complying with corporate governance regulations as well as applying advanced international governance standards in governance and management activities. According to the Organizing Committee, increased supervision from investors, changes in consumer and customer expectations, and changes in public policies have made ESG (Environment - Society - Governance) standards inevitable for businesses. Accordingly, businesses must improve and comply with related issues of Environment, Society and Governance. Since then, ESG has become a pillar to help businesses grow at the highest level of Sustainability. For FPT, ESG is not only considered an important part of the development strategy but also creates more strength for the Group to promote core values, ensure the highest benefits for stakeholders, and continue to carry out the mission of a global corporation of longevity and happiness. Excellent governance, ensuring the highest benefits for stakeholders Over the years, FPT has always complied with all important legal regulations related to corporate governance in general as well as governance regulations for listed companies. At the same time, to improve compliance with legal regulations on corporate governance, the Group has also made efforts to improve governance quality according to international standards, through the application and increasingly adhering to the criteria in the OECD International Governance Principles, the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard and the Vietnam Corporate Governance Code of Best Practices jointly drafted by the State Securities Commission and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Standard governance processes are important tools for the Group to ensure compliance and effectiveness in implementing sustainable development goals, enhancing the competitiveness and position of the company as well as ensuring the highest benefits for stakeholders. In 2023, FPT will continue to promote the implementation of the management method by objectives and key results (OKRs) throughout the Group, helping to establish unified goals for each individual with the goals of the department/company/Group, ensuring compliance with the general strategy and direction, contributing to improving operational efficiency and labor productivity. In addition, the Group's operations all apply and achieve prestigious international standard certifications on quality management, information security, environmental management, etc. At the same time, based on its own technological strengths, FPT always focuses on promoting internal digital transformation to increase management efficiency, optimize productivity and operational efficiency through maximizing the replication of successful digital transformation projects on a Group-wide scale; Applying technology to optimize professional management activities in the verticals of Finance, Human Resources, Technology, Quality, Marketing & Communications, Procurement, etc. In 2023, 42 internal digital transformation projects were implemented, helping to save 617 billion VND in costs. Most recently, AI technology (artificial intelligence) was applied to FPT Corporation's procurement activities, contributing to the transparency of all procurement activities, optimizing work processing efficiency with fraud monitoring and warning features. In 2023, FPT was in the list of Top 10 Best Governance Enterprises in 2023 in the large-cap group at the Announcement and Honoring Ceremony of award-winning enterprises in the 2023 Listed Enterprises poll organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE), the Hanoi Stock Exchange and Investment Newspaper. Accompanying the development of the community For 35 years, FPT has consistently carried out sustainable development activities with the orientation that people are the key factor and especially focused on supporting the community based on its technological strengths. Therefore, FPT always invests in developing human resources, supporting education and the young generation. The TOP 50 CSA program was organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine, voting for all 3 business groups including FDI enterprises, listed enterprises and unlisted enterprises. The program's appraisal council includes leaders from Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine, HSBC Bank, PwC Vietnam, Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), Schneider Electric Vietnam, Talentnet, Mekong Capital. The voting program is organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine with the Appraisal Council from HSBC Bank, PwC Vietnam, Schneider Electric Vietnam, Talentnet, the Institute for Circular Economy Development (Ho Chi Minh City National University), and Mekong Capital Fund Management Company. This voting program aims to establish data on sustainable development, helping the Government and related social organizations to develop policies that closely follow reality to support businesses in sustainable development, thereby accompanying Vietnam in implementing its commitments to the Goal at the COP26 Conference on reducing net emissions to zero by 2050; affirming that it will continue to implement activities to respond to climate change, especially in the development of clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, smart water management and resources in the ecosystem. With 14 voting categories based on 3 ESG pillars (Environment - Society - Governance), the Program recognizes and honors businesses, in all 3 sectors: FDI, listed and unlisted, that have contributed to sustainable development, environmental friendliness and social equity.
