Accordingly, so far, the authorities have discovered outbreaks of African swine fever in Duong Lam 2 village, Khuong My (Hoa Phong commune), Nam village and An Son village (Hoa Ninh commune). An Son village (Hoa Ninh commune) is the only village where African swine fever broke out on August 9.

To date, authorities have destroyed 44 sick or suspected sick pigs from 4 households. The total weight destroyed was 1,336kg.

It is expected that the authorities will destroy the herd of pigs showing symptoms of the disease (not eating, fever, lethargy) at a household in An Son village on August 10 according to regulations.

In addition, continuously disinfect and sterilize (with lime powder, chemicals, etc.) the areas with epidemics, the entrances and exits of epidemics and areas at high risk of outbreaks, and establish quarantine checkpoints. Temporarily stop slaughtering, bringing in, taking out or circulating pigs and pig products in epidemic areas, except for cases where transportation is permitted according to regulations.
