( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of August 13, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, received a delegation of officers from the Center for Military Strategy Studies, General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army, led by General Kim Vanna, Director of the Center, on the occasion of the delegation's visit and work in Vietnam.

At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien congratulated Cambodia on its many important achievements in recent times, especially the victory of the Cambodian People's Party in the election of the 7th National Assembly (July 2023), the election of the 5th Senate (February 2024) and the election of the Capital/Provincial/District Councils (May 2024). Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang believes that under the leadership of the Cambodian People's Party, headed by Party President Hun Sen and the governance of the country by Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia will achieve even greater achievements.

Highly appreciating the cooperation results between the Institute of Defense Strategy (Vietnam Ministry of Defense) and the Center for Military Strategy Studies (General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army), Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang suggested that in the coming time, the two agencies continue to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on research cooperation between the two sides; share information to effectively advise the leaders of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of the two countries in planning defense policies and strategies of each country...

Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang affirmed that the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army always support and create favorable conditions for the two military and defense strategic research agencies to strengthen cooperation, contributing to further deepening the defense cooperation relationship between the two countries.

For his part, General Kim Vanna thanked the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army for taking the time to receive the delegation; at the same time, he expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to cooperate and help each other, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations between the two armies and peoples, for peace and stability in the region.
