Promoting relations between Vietnam with India and Japan

Receiving Indian Ambassador Sandeep Arya, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated India on successfully organizing the 18th House of Representatives election and forming a new government last June; wishing India to continue to achieve even greater achievements, meet the expectations of the people, and increasingly affirm its position in the international arena.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the positive and strong developments in the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in recent times, especially the positive results during the State visit to India by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On that basis, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the two countries continue to closely coordinate to implement the high-level agreements reached during the visit, strengthen development relations according to the motto "Five more" that the two Prime Ministers agreed on, continue to deepen political trust, and continue to deepen cooperation in all areas.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya emphasized that the two countries have a good traditional friendship, always supporting and helping each other in the process of fighting for national independence, building and developing the country; have similar civilizations and cultures; people have good feelings for each other and share the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country.

Therefore, the two countries need to continue to promote the achieved cooperation results and actively promote areas with much potential to suit the general trend of the times, serving the goal of rapid and sustainable development of each country.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia received Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki.

Receiving Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the two countries have upgraded the framework of relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the close exchanges and active coordination of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam in promoting bilateral relations in various fields in recent times.

Affirming that Vietnam always considers Japan an important strategic partner and the two countries have many similarities in interests, great potential and room for cooperation and mutual support for development, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the Embassy continue to be a bridge in enhancing exchanges and cooperation between the two countries through the channels of the Party, State, National Assembly, people-to-people exchanges and local cooperation.

Thanking comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia for taking the time to meet him, Ambassador Ito Naoki affirmed that upgrading the relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world is an important milestone for both sides to look back on the good development of Vietnam-Japan relations over the past 50 years. The Ambassador expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to strengthen close and profound cooperation in the coming time.
