Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 819 of the Prime Minister on assigning the management of the activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
According to the decision, the Prime Minister assigned Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment - to manage the activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment until the competent authority completes the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment according to regulations.
The decision takes effect from August 10.
Previously, on August 3, the 13th Party Central Committee held a meeting on personnel work within its authority. According to a statement from the Party Central Committee Office, the Party Central Committee considered applications to resign from positions of a number of leaders of central and local agencies.
In particular, the report of the Central Inspection Commission and the proposal of the Central Organizing Committee and the Central Executive Committee of the Party pointed out that a number of leaders, including Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh - member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, former Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang Province - violated Party regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, the responsibility to set an example and regulations on preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
Fully aware of his responsibility to the Party and the people, Mr. Khanh submitted a request to resign from his assigned positions. Therefore, based on current regulations of the Party and the State and considering his wishes, the Party Central Committee agreed to allow Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh to resign from his position as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Thus, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment currently has 4 deputy ministers including Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, in charge of operations; Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh, Deputy Minister Le Minh Ngan.
