(MPI) - On August 8, 2024, authorized by the Minister of Planning and Investment, Deputy Minister Do Thanh Trung received and awarded the Medal "For the cause of the Planning and Investment sector in Vietnam" to Mr. Nakajima Takeo, Chief Representative of JETRO in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Do Thanh Trung highly appreciated the contributions and achievements of JETRO in Vietnam for the development of Vietnam and the career of the Planning and Investment sector in the recent past. These encouraging results were achieved thanks to the efforts of both sides, including the contribution of JETRO Chief Representative in Vietnam Nakajima Takeo.

Deputy Minister Do Thanh Trung emphasized that the awarding of the Medal is a recognition and appreciation of Mr. Nakajima Takeo's important contributions in supporting development projects and economic cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, promoting economic relations between the two countries.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Do Thanh Trung also expressed his hope that the Ministry of Planning and Investment and JETRO will continue to accompany and cooperate more closely, contributing to promoting innovation, reform, improving work efficiency, and achieving new successes in economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.

In his new position, Mr. Nakajima Takeo affirmed that he will continue to accompany the Ministry of Planning and Investment to contribute to the successful implementation of the set goals and tasks, creating momentum and motivation to promote Vietnam's sustainable development in the next period./.
