Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs receives a delegation of overseas Vietnamese teachers and children in Korea

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang welcomed and kindly asked about the feelings of the students and teachers on the first day of visiting their homeland Vietnam, visiting historical and cultural relics together to learn about the history of Vietnam and meet and interact with their peers.

The Deputy Minister said that this is the first time the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs has organized a reception for a delegation of overseas Vietnamese children and teachers in Korea to visit Vietnam.

She hopes that this trip is not only an opportunity for the children to return, learn and experience the cultural values ​​of the nation, but also an opportunity for them to meet and exchange with friends of the same age, together building beautiful and meaningful memories associated with their homeland, keeping them in their future life.

The Deputy Minister also thanked the parents, teachers, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea for their dedicated cooperation in organizing this meaningful activity.

On behalf of the delegation, Dr. Do Ngoc Luyen - lecturer at Kwang Un University thanked Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and the leaders of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese for organizing a meaningful visit to Vietnam for children, teachers and parents of overseas Vietnamese in Korea. This has been a long-standing wish of hers and now that wish has come true.

“This trip back to Vietnam helps the students become more proud of the history of the country and the Vietnamese people, and is also a preparation for more meaningful programs towards their motherland Vietnam in the future,” Ms. Luyen shared.
