Navigating through the crowds at Co.opmart Cong Quynh supermarket (District 1) in the late afternoon, Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang (28 years old) pushed her shopping cart and shared how she has been a loyal Co.opmart customer for many years, since her school days.
"Having lived in Ho Chi Minh City for almost 10 years, I've also been a loyal customer of the Co.opmart supermarket chain, from my student days to my working life and after getting married. From Co.opmart Ly Thuong Kiet to Co.opmart Van Thanh, and currently Co.opmart Cong Quynh. Every time I move, the first thing I do is find the nearest Co.opmart to shop for my new journey," Ms. Trang shared.
Having been a loyal customer for many years, Ms. Trang says she currently holds the highest-level loyalty card at the supermarket – the platinum card. The platinum card offers more benefits than other card tiers, and she particularly likes the dedicated checkout counter, eliminating the need to queue or wait long to pay.
"Every year on my birthday or during Tet (Lunar New Year), the supermarket gives me gifts, discounts on my bill, and offers many promotions and reward points. The goods are also of good quality, so for almost 10 years I've been loyal to Co.opmart," Ms. Trang said (smiling).
Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Phuong (residing in District 4) shared her shopping experience at Co.opmart, saying that instead of choosing cheap items, she usually prioritizes products that are on deep discount promotions to "hunt" for bigger rewards.
Ms. Phuong said that during promotional periods, in addition to discounts, supermarkets also give away many gifts when purchasing high-value items, and there are even lucky draw programs; the higher the membership tier, the greater the benefits.
"In these tough times, even saving a few dollars is precious! Getting a membership card not only gives me discounts but also earns me reward points. Sometimes I redeem points and end up with a million dong, it's such a great deal!", said Mrs. Phuong.

New members increased by 85% in the first six months of the year.
A representative from Saigon Co.op stated that the Saigon Co.op membership program is one of the company's outstanding customer services. Launched in 1997, Saigon Co.op is now a pioneering distributor in the market in developing a customer loyalty program, through which customers receive attentive care with special policies.
According to our research, Saigon Co.op membership cards are divided into four levels: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Each level offers different price benefits; the higher the card tier, the greater the benefits, with discounts applied directly to the purchase invoice.

Currently, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra are serving over 4 million member customers, with new customers increasing dramatically by 85% in the first six months of 2024. The largest number of members currently hold gold membership cards, followed by platinum membership cards.
A representative from Saigon Co.op stated that from now until August 14th, Saigon Co.op will continue to promote many exclusive member privilege programs with significant discounts on over 100 essential items. Gold/platinum customers can save up to 300,000 VND when participating in the program.
Specifically, the supermarket is offering a discount on the Philips 1.5L stainless steel electric kettle, reduced from 849,000 VND to 290,000 VND for gold/platinum customers and 250,000 VND for bronze/silver customers. Comfort fabric softener, priced at 238,000 VND/bag, is discounted by 59,000 VND for gold/platinum customers and 29,000 VND for bronze/silver customers. On1 Bamboo scent laundry detergent (3.5kg bag) and On1 Garden of Farm Matic laundry detergent (3.5kg bag) are discounted by 80,000 VND for gold/platinum customers and 39,000 VND for bronze/silver customers.
Hai Duong garlic is discounted by 25% for gold/platinum customers and 15% for bronze/silver customers; Australian beef brisket is discounted by VND 37,400 for gold/platinum customers and VND 27,400 for bronze/silver customers; New Zealand Envy apples are discounted by VND 45,000 for gold/platinum customers and VND 35,000 for bronze/silver customers.
Coca-Cola soft drinks are discounted by VND 8,200 for gold/platinum customers and VND 6,500 for bronze/silver customers. Koreno jumbo instant noodles with spicy beef, kimchi, and shrimp flavor are discounted by VND 24,000 for gold/platinum customers and VND 20,000 for bronze/silver customers.
On August 13th only, silver-level customers will receive 5 bonus points for accumulating 15 purchase points, while gold and platinum-level customers will receive 10 and 15 points respectively for accumulating 15 purchase points.
Online deals and promotions exclusively for member customers.
In addition to in-store shopping, Saigon Co.op implements many exclusive promotions for its member customers when shopping online.
Accordingly, the "Reward Points for Existing Users" program rewards existing customers with 200 reward points for every 3 purchases and 300 reward points for every 4 purchases, applicable to purchases over 500,000 VND from now until August 20th. Members with invoices of 300,000 VND or more, including vegetarian products, can apply the code VULAN30 to receive a 30,000 VND discount on that invoice.
Specifically, members who access the Co.op online website and click on the mini-game banner during two time slots (9 AM and 3 PM) have the chance to receive shopping vouchers worth VND 30,000, VND 50,000, VND 100,000, and VND 200,000, valid from now until August 18th.

Customers can register to become members of the supermarket simply, easily, quickly, and completely free of charge at any Co.opmart/Co.opXtra customer service counter. Alternatively, customers can register online on the official website: https://co-opmart.com.vn.
After registering as a member, the customer's level will be Bronze. When average spending reaches 10 million VND/year, the customer will be upgraded to Silver. If average spending reaches 20 million VND/year, the customer will be upgraded to Gold. To become a Platinum customer, the average spending must reach 50 million VND/year or more.
