(HTV) - The establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirms the pioneering role of youth in developing the city and carrying out important political and economic tasks.

On the afternoon of April 1, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee was established under Decision No. 1065-QD/TĐTN-BTC.KT dated March 28, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union. This is an important milestone in the formation and development of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the City People's Committee with 78 affiliated units and more than 8,000 union members who are cadres, civil servants and public employees working at government agencies, a number of business units and public service units under the City People's Committee; at the same time, affirming the pioneering role of young people in carrying out political tasks associated with the production and business of the unit, the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; opening a new period with many practical activities, contributing to building a generation of young cadres with courage, intelligence and responsibility.

Establishment of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee: Affirming the role of youth in city development

The Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term I, 2025 - 2027, has been trusted, selected and appointed to participate, including 28 comrades (6 comrades are vacant); Comrade Truong Tan Nghiep - Member of the Standing Committee, former Head of the City Labor Union was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the City People's Committee Youth Union, term I, 2025 - 2027; Comrade Tran Quoc Huy - Former Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Central Agencies in Ho Chi Minh City, Comrade Nguyen Trung Tu - Member of the City Youth Union Executive Committee, Secretary of the Youth Union of Saigon Industry Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company and Comrade Nguyen Thi Ha Xuyen - Former Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of Office of the City People's - Government - Party Bloc Youth Union were appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City People's Committee Youth Union, term I, 2025 - 2027.

To successfully carry out the assigned tasks, the Executive Committee of the City People's Committee Youth Union is determined to strive to complete youth projects and key targets in 2025, specifically as follows: Introduce 500 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission; of which at least 100 outstanding union members are developed into the Party; 200 topics, initiatives, and solutions of union members and youth are applied in advising on business, service, production labor and scientific research policies recognized by the Party Committee and unit leaders; 80 projects and tasks to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and to welcome Party Congresses at all levels.

With the spirit of enthusiasm, dynamism and creativity, the youth of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will continue to promote the fine tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, build a strong and comprehensive team of intellectuals, constantly strive to improve political qualities, ethics, capacity and qualifications; thereby, pioneering in creating intellectual products, actively contributing to the development of the City and the country.
