From August 1-31, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi), many activities will take place with the theme "Summer - Experience and Discovery" to create a useful playground associated with the cultural life and customs of ethnic minorities.

Specifically, more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer), along with the participation of 11 localities with ethnic groups operating daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Soc Trang) will bring visitors interesting and attractive experiences.

It is a folk song and dance program with the theme "Returning to the village," introducing to the public songs, musical instrument performances, dances, and folk performances of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and experience the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands such as gongs, xoang dance, learn to play the Dinh Put and T'rung instruments, etc. and participate in traditional folk games; see and experience the traditional cultural features of the Central Highlands villages.

The folk song and dance program with the theme "The Village Joyfully Dances the Flower Dance" and "I Love My Village" introduces to the public and tourists the cultural features of the ethnic groups in the North, through folk songs, dances, and traditional folk performances, expressing the joy of the village joining hands to preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of the ethnic community.

Visitors can also explore and learn about Thai xoe dance and participate in traditional folk games.

Along with that, on weekends, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, many unique cultural and artistic activities take place.

At each space introducing the traditional culture of each ethnic group, visitors will learn about architecture, costumes, folk songs and dances, festivals..., and at the same time experience and exchange art performances and traditional folk art forms typical of the ethnic groups that are active daily in the Village such as playing Dinh Nam, singing Ay Ray, playing Chapi, and singing songs about the Central Highlands.

Tourists can also participate in traditional folk games such as throwing con, walking on stilts, swinging, walking on the bridge, playing swallows, to ma le...; learn about culinary culture and enjoy special dishes of ethnic groups such as sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, pork dishes, colored sticky rice... of the Muong and Thai ethnic groups; grilled chicken... of the Kho Mu ethnic group; coffee, cocoa... of the E De and Xo Dang ethnic groups; khau nhuc, fish stewed with sour bamboo shoots, sausage, smoked meat, stuffed bamboo shoots... of the Tay, Nung and Dao ethnic groups; traditional cakes of ethnic groups and participate in other activities such as picking tea, weaving, making musical instruments, teaching ethnic musical instruments, weaving handicrafts, brewing wine, and processing traditional medicine./.
