Fan Zhendong "opened the day" for the Chinese Sports Delegation today with a Gold medal in the Men's Singles Table Tennis event.

In the final, Fan Zhendong came from behind to win against Swedish player Truls Moregard after 5 sets with the score of 7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8 and 11-8.

This is Fan Zhendong's second gold medal in his career at the Olympics, after doing the same in the team event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

With Fan Zhendong's achievements, the Chinese Table Tennis Team won a total of three Gold medals in table tennis at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The two previous gold medals of Chinese table tennis belonged to Chen Meng (women's singles) and Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha (mixed doubles).

The second gold medal of the Chinese delegation today belongs to athlete Liu Yang in the rings event of Gymnastics.

Liu Yang won the Gold medal after finishing the competition with 15.300 points, ahead of teammate Zou Jingyuan (15.233 points), and Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece (15.100 points).

As of 9:00 p.m., the Chinese Sports Delegation won 18 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 9 bronze medals, continuing to top the medal tally of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In the deciding game, Brady Ellison shot 10 points, but Kim Woojin also scored the same but the arrow was closer to the center of the bull's eye, to win the Gold medal. This is also Korea's 5th Archery Gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

Positions 7, 8 and 9 on the 2024 Olympic medal table belong to Japan, Italy and the Netherlands respectively.

The German sports delegation won another Gold medal today to return to the top 10 with a total of 5 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals.

Germany's Jessica Von Bredow-Werndl won the gold medal after winning the show jumping event. Silver was won by Isabell Werth (Germany) and bronze was won by Charlotte Fry (Great Britain).

The 2024 Paris Olympics had a total of 64 sports delegations win at least 1 Bronze medal.
