This route connects Vietnam with key markets in Asia such as Thailand, Japan and China.

The KTX2 service route operated by OOCL (Vietnam) will call at TCIT port weekly, helping to strengthen the connection of Vietnamese goods with the region. The specific route includes: TCIT - Shekou - Tokyo - Yokohama - Nagoya - Kobe - Quanzhou - Ho Chi Minh City - Laem Chabang - TCIT.

The IRENES RAINBOW has a deadweight of 37,000 tons, is 186 meters long, and has a capacity of 2,800 TEUs. This is one of the four mother ships of the route, with an average capacity of 2,500-3,000 TEUs/ship.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kim JongEup, General Director of TCIT, said that in the first months of 2025, the seaport industry has witnessed many major changes, with comprehensive impacts and reshaping the world maritime map. The fact that OOCL chose TCIT to deploy a new service route is an important step, contributing to realizing the common vision and goals of both parties in the new context.

The implementation of the KTX2 route not only expands service options for import-export enterprises, but also contributes to diversifying the maritime transport network, enhancing flexibility in the supply chain and especially expanding intra-Asia connectivity, a region that is emerging strongly on the global trade map.
