Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran Luu Hoa emphasized: the organization of the training course helps raise awareness for managers and teachers about the position, role and significance of digital citizenship skills education in implementing the 2018 General Education Program at the primary level; at the same time, unify the content, methods and forms of organizing this content in schools.

Regarding the orientation of implementing digital citizenship skills education in the 2018 General Education Program at the primary level, Dr. Thai Van Tai, Director of the Department of Primary Education (Ministry of Education and Training) emphasized: when building the education program, schools need to implement digital citizenship skills education content throughout and determine which subjects and duration of this content will be implemented.

Forms of digital citizenship skills education are teaching computer science; integrating into other subjects and educational activities; teaching reinforcement and organizing clubs.

According to the roadmap of the Ministry of Education and Training, after 1 year of pilot implementation in 10 provinces/cities, from the 2024-2025 school year, the Ministry will deploy digital citizenship skills education on a large scale in 10 provinces/cities and in the 2025-2026 school year, continue to deploy to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

At the training session, more than 300 cadres and primary school teachers in Hanoi listened to Ms. Cao Hong Hue, Institute of Information Technology - Hanoi National University of Education, share about digital competencies for high school students and details for primary school level. Next, the teachers had 3 in-depth training sessions on important contents of digital citizenship skills education; including learning about the process and how to reference the subject program with the digital competency framework through the illustrative reference table of the subjects...
