The Management Board of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area (Cao Bang) has issued a document on temporarily suspending the transportation of visitors between Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) and Duc Thien (China).

Based on the incident that occurred at the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) on the Chinese side, the Management Board of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area requests that travel agencies notify tourists about the temporary suspension of transporting tourists back and forth between the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China).
In case visitors have registered and paid the fees, we will consider refunding or handling them in a harmonious manner. We recommend that visitors temporarily not register for the tour route between Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) from August 11 until there is a new official announcement from the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area Management Board.
The Management Board still organizes to welcome (domestic) tourists to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area as usual.
The activity of transporting tourists back and forth between Ban Gioc waterfall (Vietnam) and Detian (China) has been piloted since September 15, 2023. Tourists from both countries register for tours in the form of outbound and inbound groups, each group does not exceed 20 people and is only for Vietnamese and Chinese citizens. The stopover time of each group on the other side does not exceed 5 hours.
During the pilot period, tourists from China will pass through the scenic area on the Vietnamese side following the following route: Checkpoint on the way to the scenic area - waterfall foot area - Saigon Ban Gioc hotel - service and food area - return to the checkpoint to return the card and exit to the scenic area on the Chinese side.
Tourists from Vietnam go through the scenic area on the Chinese side following the route: Checkpoint on the way back and forth to the scenic area - Detian waterfall - shopping street - walking in the scenic area - walking along the river in the scenic area - checkpoint on the way back to the scenic area on the Vietnamese side.
After more than 10 months of piloting, there have been nearly 950 groups with about 12,000 visitors entering and leaving for sightseeing and tourism.
