On the morning of August 12, in Viet Tri City, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province held a conference to summarize the 2023-2024 school year, deploy tasks for the 2024-2025 school year and receive the Third Class Independence Medal.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province emphasized that the 2024 - 2025 school year is the last year the province fully and synchronously implements the 2018 General Education Program.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province proposed that in the coming time, the entire education and training sector of Phu Tho province inherit and promote the achieved results; determined to well implement the 10 tasks and solutions set out for the 2024-2025 school year.

In particular, continue to resolutely and synchronously deploy solutions to complete the goals of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the 19th Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term on education and training development; Phu Tho province planning, the 5-year plan 2020-2025 on education and training development.

Continue to implement the main tasks and solutions of the education sector in line with the Government's motto of action in 2024 "Convergence of intelligence - Towards the future"; continue to direct and effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program.

Focus on improving the quality of comprehensive education, associated with innovation to improve the quality of moral education, lifestyle, and life skills for students. Promote the socialization of education and the work of encouraging learning and talent, building a learning society.

Along with that, actively and proactively have synchronous and drastic solutions in directing and organizing the implementation of the targets of the Provincial Party Congress Resolution on education and training development for the 2020-2025 period; maintain and improve the quality of comprehensive education, focusing on key education.

At the same time, limit the difference in educational quality between regions; direct the implementation to ensure harmony between the goals of "teaching letters", "teaching people" and "training professions", and build a democratic, disciplined, orderly, safe, friendly and equal educational environment in educational institutions.

Speaking at the conference on the work of discovering, selecting, and fostering to improve the quality of excellent secondary school students, teacher Nguyen Anh Hoang - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho City shared that in the past 5 years, Phu Tho City has always maintained its position in the top 3 leading units of Phu Tho province.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the work of discovering and nurturing excellent students was spread to 7/10 secondary schools with students participating in the provincial-level gifted student competition team, and 7/7 participating schools won prizes. The overall score of the team ranked 2nd out of 13 districts and cities. To achieve the above results, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho City has synchronously deployed many solutions in the work of discovering and nurturing excellent students.

At the conference, authorized by the President, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Phan Trong Tan awarded the Third Class Independence Medal to Phu Tho Department of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in education and training, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
