On August 14, in Tay Ninh City, the signing ceremony of tourism development cooperation between Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the period 2024 - 2029 took place.

Attending the signing ceremony were representatives of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province, Saigontourist Group's board of directors and representatives of central and local press and radio agencies.

Cooperation in many aspects

Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, commented: "The signing ceremony aims to promote cooperation in tourism development, promote investment, turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector, and create a driving force for socio-economic development of Tay Ninh province. The cooperation agreement is also an opportunity for Saigontourist Group to develop business in the Tay Ninh market, in an effort to promote the exploitation of domestic and foreign visitors to Tay Ninh and exploit local visitors."

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Truong Duc Hung, General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that according to the agreement, the two sides will coordinate to implement cooperation activities in development consulting, planning, long-term, medium-term and short-term plans in the tourism sector; cooperate in investing in building new tourism products and services and regional linkage products; cooperate in promoting and advertising tourism at home and abroad; cooperate in organizing tourism festivals, cultural events, cuisine, and sports events associated with tourism.

Specifically, Saigontourist Group will advise on planning, investment in the construction of new tourism products and services, products connecting localities in the province and linking regions with the aim of developing tourism in Tay Ninh province. Saigontourist Group will advise, support or organize, coordinate the organization of tourism promotion activities; promote communication activities; organize tourism festivals, culinary culture at home and abroad.

Appreciating the role and position of Tay Ninh province in the Southeast region, in the coming time, Saigontourist Group will research to establish and soon put into operation a branch of Saigontourist Travel Service Company in Tay Ninh province, with the aim of stimulating tourism demand in the locality.

In the field of training, Saigontourist Group assigned Saigontourist School of Tourism and Hospitality and member units of Saigontourist Group to research and coordinate with schools and centers in Tay Ninh to train, coach, and foster in the field of tourism and tourism profession; place training orders and prioritize recruiting human resources trained according to the development needs of Saigontourist Group.

During the cooperation process, Saigontourist Group is committed to preserving cultural values, respecting and enhancing the value of local historical relics, traditional cultural identities and special cultural nuances of local communities at tourist destinations; protecting the environment, minimizing air, water, land pollution and waste from tourists.

Contribute to promoting tourism in the two localities

During the cooperation period from 2024 to 2029, Tay Ninh province will create conditions for Saigontourist Group to conduct surveys, invest, research and develop new tourism products, programs and services to attract visitors to Tay Ninh; support and encourage the use of domestic and international tour products and routes of Saigontourist Travel Service Company (under Saigontourist Group) and products and services at hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment areas, etc. in the Saigontourist Group system. In the field of vocational training, Tay Ninh province commits to supporting Saigontourist School of Tourism and Hospitality to open tourism training and development courses in Tay Ninh.

In the tourism sector, over the past time, Saigontourist Travel Service Company has annually served tens of thousands of domestic and international tourists, cruise tourists to visit attractive tourist destinations in Tay Ninh on single-route tours, or inter-route tours from Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh, connecting neighboring provinces in the Southeast region. Tay Ninh tourism is attractive because of the majestic beauty of the Ba Den Mountain tourist complex known as the "roof of the Southeast", the unique ecosystem at Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park, Dau Tieng Lake, the spiritual cultural works of Cao Dai Holy See - Tay Ninh Holy See, the tourist destinations to the source, the revolutionary bases through the periods and the delicious dishes, which have long become the "culinary brand" of the locality such as Trang Bang rice noodles, rice paper exposed to dew, etc.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, commented: "The cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh province in the field of tourism is identified as one of the important directions, aiming to maximize the potential and strengths of each locality, contributing to promoting tourism in the two localities to develop strongly, effectively and sustainably. That effort has been realized by the signing ceremony of tourism development cooperation between the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee and Saigontourist Group, a unit under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee".

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said: The signing of the cooperation agreement contributes to promoting cooperation in tourism development, investment promotion, development of tourism products and services, training, development of tourism human resources and supporting the tourism industry in the development process, making tourism a spearhead economic sector, creating momentum for socio-economic development of the locality in the coming time. At the same time, the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two sides also aims to concretize the agreement on cooperation in tourism development in the Southeast region for the period of 2020-2025 signed between 6 provinces and cities in the Southeast region in 2020 in Tay Ninh province.
