On August 7, at the Navy, the Petroleum Department (General Department of Logistics, Ministry of National Defense ) held a conference to review petroleum work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Attending the conference were Colonel Duong Ngoc Tuyen, Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Director of the Petroleum Department; comrades in the Party Committee, commanders of the Petroleum Department; commanders of agencies, departments and offices under the Petroleum Department and commanders and officers of the petroleum industry in the entire army.

The report at the conference showed that since the beginning of the year, the military petroleum industry has implemented comprehensive and synchronous measures to ensure timely petroleum and technical equipment for regular and unexpected tasks. Petroleum assurance work is focused on units tasked with protecting the sovereignty of seas, islands, borders and important political events of the Party, State and Army.

In particular, the petroleum industry has adjusted and supplemented documents to ensure petroleum according to new operational plans and staffing after merging logistics and technical agencies at all levels.

At the same time, strictly maintain the combat readiness reserve and national reserve in the Ministry of National Defense. The emulation movement "Manage and use gasoline safely, economically and effectively" is implemented synchronously, bringing practical results.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Luc praised the achievements and results that the petroleum industry achieved in the first 6 months of the year; at the same time, pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome.

He emphasized that the task of ensuring fuel in the last 6 months of the year is still very heavy, requiring the entire industry to continue to ensure good fuel for the regular and unexpected tasks of the Army, especially the exercises directed by the Ministry of National Defense and the 2024 International Defense Exhibition.

Agencies and units also need to continue to coordinate well in adjusting combat readiness reserves after unit dissolution, adjustment, and merger.

Strengthening the inspection and examination of petroleum work for units according to decentralization; continuing to organize training, drills, drills, and petroleum specialized competitions according to plan; at the same time, maintaining and promoting the emulation movement "Managing and using petroleum safely, economically, and effectively" to go deeper and deeper, bringing practical results.
