PTSC and the journey of gratitude to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in Ho Chi Minh City

Continuing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "When eating fruit, remember the one who planted the tree" of the nation and the culture of oil and gas workers, as part of the series of activities of the "Journey of Gratitude" on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) organized meaningful activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution in Ho Chi Minh City - where the PTSC Corporation's executive agency is located. On July 25, PTSC Youth Union coordinated with the District Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of District 1, the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City State Financial Investment Company, and the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Land Development Fund to solemnly organize a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at the District 1 Martyrs' Cemetery and the City's Martyrs' Cemetery.

The candle lighting ceremony was attended by comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan - Chief of the Party Office - PTSC Corporation's Union, comrade Nguyen Kim Duc - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Head of the District 1 Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, standing members of the Unions and outstanding youth union members from various organizations who came here to express their gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country. In the solemn atmosphere of remembering and paying tribute to the heroes and martyrs, PTSC youth in particular and the city's youth in general expressed their infinite sorrow at the passing of comrade General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Party Nguyen Phu Trong - a loyal, exemplary, talented communist soldier who devoted his whole life to the Party, the Fatherland and the People. The delegation respectfully held a ceremony to offer flowers, incense, and light candles in memory, expressing their respect and deep gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Also on this occasion, PTSC Youth Union also coordinated with District Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of District 1, Youth Union of PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) to visit, express gratitude and give gifts to 20 families of war invalids, martyrs, and families with meritorious services to the revolution in the district. The delegation visited each family to inquire, encourage the spirit of the war invalids and martyrs and sat down to listen to the sharing of historical memories and circumstances of the families. Comrade Nguyen Huu Quyet - Chairman of the Veterans Association of PTSC Corporation - kindly inquired about the health and spiritual life of the policy beneficiaries, relatives of the martyrs and meritorious people; At the same time, he expressed gratitude for the contributions of comrades to the revolutionary cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and wished that comrades would take care of their health, always be a shining example, and encourage their children and grandchildren, and the younger generation to follow suit, and continue to contribute their efforts to build the homeland to become more and more developed and prosperous.

The families visited and expressed their joy and gratitude to the delegation, expressing their gratitude for the kindness of the oil and gas workers. The noble acts of oil and gas workers over the years have become a great source of encouragement, helping wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and families of people with meritorious services to ease the pain of loss, live happily and healthily, continue to strive and contribute their remaining intelligence and strength to society to be worthy of the attention of the Party, the State, and mass organizations.
Through meaningful activities, PTSC once again affirms and spreads the noble traditional value of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation, always deeply grateful for the sacrifices of previous generations, at the same time, contributing to arousing and nurturing the pride and sense of responsibility of PTSC youth towards the country today. Accompanying the "Journey of Gratitude" of the Corporation, PTSC youth are always proud and willing to follow the path of their fathers and grandfathers, contributing their knowledge, health, youth, and enthusiasm to contribute to building the country to be increasingly sustainable and prosperous.
