At a press conference on August 11, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Sever Group of Forces (Russia), supported by airstrikes and artillery, had prevented several attempts by the Ukrainian army to advance near the settlements of Tolpino, Zhuravli and Obshchiy Kolodez in the past 24 hours.

Four armored personnel carriers, including three US-made Strykers, seven armored fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles were destroyed.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian airstrikes also inflicted heavy losses on the Ukrainian 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized Brigades as well as the 80th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades near the settlements of Staraya Sorochnitsa, Korenevo, Sudzha and Borki; it also said that 35 Ukrainian soldiers, five tanks, four armored fighting vehicles and three motor vehicles were disabled.
