Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, said that looking back at the geographical stretch of the entire region from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan , it is very difficult for localities to connect with each other due to limited air links.
According to Mr. Quang, the whole country is currently building a system of express highways, but if tourism is to develop even faster, there must be high-speed rail, and investment should be phased into sections and routes.
The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee proposed that the National Assembly should approve the development of a high-speed railway line connecting localities in the region.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Thai Thanh Quy, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Nghe An province, said that while we are currently building expressways, we need to invest in high-speed rail in the future. At the same time, we need to pay close attention to the transverse routes connecting the East and West to strengthen regional connectivity…

According to the Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Hoai Anh, the next term needs to accelerate institutional reform, promptly address current obstacles to unlock resources, and strengthen pilot mechanisms to leverage the region's advantages. At the same time, focus should be placed on investing in strategic transportation infrastructure and making breakthroughs in digital infrastructure.
"The government needs to focus on providing appropriate support so that both state-owned and private enterprises can produce products that are strong enough to reach the global market," Mr. Anh suggested.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions that helped to refresh the content and tasks outlined in the documents of the 14th Party Congress.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that regional planning presents many challenges. The best approach is to collectively select common projects and tasks for the region within the planning framework, and then choose consultants to develop the plan effectively...
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, high-speed railways connecting North and South Vietnam, international high-speed railways, and urban railways are essential. The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that provinces and cities will further develop the potential, advantages, and unique characteristics of each locality, as well as the common advantages of the North Central and Central Coastal regions.
