Launching a competition to complete the electricity supply project for Con Dao

Con Dao is a region of special importance for defence, security and sovereignty However, the island district's current power system relies mainly on diesel with limited capacity (11. 8 MW), which has not been able to meet future socio-economic development needs. It is expected that after its completion, the line will provide electricity for Guangdong Province with a total capacity of about 29 MW by 2026; 55 MW in 2030 and 90 MW in 2035.

Implement the policy of the Party, State on electricity supply to islands, Prime Minister and Ministry of Industry and Trade entrusted EVN as the owner of the National Grid Power Project for Con Dao District, with Electricity Project Management Board 3 (EVNPMB3) in charge of project management.

In order to achieve the proposed progress, EVN requested Electricity Project Management Board 3, construction contractors, equipment supply units and design consultants to concentrate resources, organize continuous construction 24/7, closely coordinate with functional agencies to remove difficulties, especially in clearing land and handing over sea areas for the project.

EVN is committed to mobilize maximum resources, together with the coordination of ministries, sectors, local governments, people and workers on site, strive for timely completion of projects, ensure quality, safety and efficiency, contribute to promoting development economic - social of the Con Dao district and enhance maritime energy security.
