Launching Humanitarian Month 2025: “Humanitarian Journey

Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society launched the Humanitarian Month 2025, emphasizing: This year's Humanitarian Month starts from March 1 to May 31, peaking from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (President Ho Chi Minh's birthday) and is deployed throughout the province with the following targets: Strive in the Humanitarian Month 2025 for the entire Red Cross Society system to build houses, support livelihood models, assist humanitarian addresses, gift giving programs, free medical examination and medicine, mobilize registration for organ and tissue donation, to support poor and disadvantaged households, ethnic minorities... towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

The leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Association received a symbolic plaque in response to the Humanitarian Month 2025 from the Red Cross Associations of districts and cities with a total value of over 8 billion VND.

After 6 years of implementation since 2018, the Humanitarian Month has been responded to and actively participated by Red Cross officials, members, volunteers and youth, clearly demonstrating the core role of the Association, attracting the participation of many organizations, unions and people to create a large movement of mutual love and care for the poorest and most disadvantaged people. The results of the Humanitarian Month have achieved the goals, requirements and exceeded the set targets, clearly demonstrating the attention of the Party and State leaders and the participation of the leaders and directions of local Party committees and authorities, promoting the role of Honorary Presidents of the Red Cross at all levels and the coordination of organizations and individuals; the capacity of the Association's staff has been enhanced, especially the role of advising and mobilizing resources; communication activities have created a highlight with widespread influence, connecting many sponsors; strongly promoting the role and potential of the volunteer force.

Dalat Red Cross Society responded to 1,200 gifts worth 1 billion VND in total during Humanitarian Month 2025

Realizing that humanitarian work plays an important role in supporting and helping policy families, poor and near-poor households... to reduce difficulties, gradually stabilize their lives and escape poverty, the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love", the Provincial Red Cross Association hopes to receive the attention of Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to continue to join hands with the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Association to help the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people, contributing to the implementation of social security policies, being a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, contributing to building the humane and benevolent tradition of the nation.

To enter the peak implementation phase of the 2025 Humanitarian Month in May across the province, the leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society requested that the Red Cross Societies of districts and cities promote a number of key activities: Propagating humanitarian values and President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on humanitarian causes. Continuing to mobilize units, organizations, individuals, philanthropists... to support and accompany the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025.

Mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, members, Red Cross volunteers and people to actively participate in the Campaign "Millions of steps of kindness - Continuing the golden history" in response to the launch of the Central Committee of the Association with the goal of attracting 3,000 people to walk and run on the online sports platform, conquering a total distance of 100,000 km, mobilizing converted resources to reach 100 million VND to implement humanitarian assistance activities. Implement and synchronize the activities of the Humanitarian Month with the organization of the Campaign "Red drops of blood - summer" in 2025. With the target of mobilizing and receiving 17,000 units of blood from voluntary blood donors; successfully implementing the Program "Red Journey" in 2025. Promote propaganda and mobilize the community to participate in the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" in appropriate forms.

Don Duong District Red Cross Association gives gifts to disadvantaged students in Bao Lam District

The Red Cross Association of Don Duong and Lac Duong districts gives gifts to disadvantaged students in Bao Lam district.

Mr. Vuong Van Duong - Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Bao Lam district, representing the Red Cross Societies of districts and cities in Lam Dong province, spoke in response to the Humanitarian Month 2025, determined to continue to innovate propaganda and operation methods; promote the core role in promoting humanitarian activities, with the goal of all for the vulnerable in society. Striving in the Humanitarian Month 2025, the Associations at all levels in Bao Lam district mobilized to support over 2,500 difficult circumstances and humanitarian addresses. Mobilizing to implement practical activities in the humanitarian month.

In which: Mobilizing the delegation to examine, provide health consultation, provide medicine and give free gifts to 800 people; mobilizing 5 people to register to donate tissues, donate, donate human body parts; giving livelihood models to help disadvantaged households escape poverty sustainably; giving scholarships, school bags, notebooks and milk to students; building 2 new houses for households with housing difficulties. The Red Cross Society at the grassroots level and its affiliated branches organized a series of practical activities, oriented towards the community (propagating humanitarian values, providing humanitarian assistance...) during the peak week of Humanitarian Month. In which, each Red Cross organization organized at least 1 part of humanitarian work, program, activity implementing the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" with the participation of the community.

The Don Duong District Red Cross Society awarded 20 gifts to disadvantaged students. In the program, the Provincial Red Cross Society reported the summary of the "Humanitarian Tet" Movement in the Spring of At Ty in 2025. As a result, the Red Cross Society at all levels in the province mobilized 71,060 gifts worth more than 35 billion VND to give to poor and near-poor households, households with people infected with Agent Orange, households affected by natural disasters, epidemics... (achieving 118% of the target assigned by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society of 71,060/60,000 gifts).
