DNVN - On August 3, PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Company Limited (PepsiCo Foods Vietnam) officially started construction of a food production factory in Ha Nam province with a total investment of 90 million USD.
The event marks PepsiCo’s 30-year presence in Vietnam, and demonstrates the company’s commitment to long-term investment and sustainable development. With a total area of 8 hectares, the new factory is expected to become a key production center for PepsiCo Foods in Vietnam, with an annual capacity of more than 20,000 tons of snacks.
As a significant step forward in PepsiCo Foods Vietnam's expansion strategy, the factory in Ha Nam will meet the increasingly diverse needs of consumers, strongly consolidating the presence of PepsiCo Foods brands in Vietnam.

Through this milestone, PepsiCo Foods will support Vietnamese farmers in adopting sustainable agricultural practices, implementing the global PepsiCo Positive (Pep+) strategy towards achieving 100% sustainable supply and promoting regenerative agriculture by 2030.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Ha, General Director of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam said: "Investing in Ha Nam affirms our belief in the dynamic economy and people of Vietnam. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of our presence in Vietnam, the groundbreaking of the new factory demonstrates our commitment to long-term investment and our desire to contribute to the sustainable development of our country."
Using cutting-edge technologies, the plant uses renewable energy, including a rooftop solar panel system and a biomass system that uses local agricultural waste to generate electricity. As a result, PepsiCo Foods significantly reduces carbon emissions and minimizes its impact on the environment.
It is expected that when the factory comes into operation, it will create a strong driving force for the local socio-economic development by creating many job opportunities in fields such as manufacturing, logistics, packaging and agriculture... up to more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs.
