On the morning of August 14, the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X, 2021-2026, held its 25th session to carry out personnel work and consider and decide on a number of issues within its authority.

At the meeting, delegates conducted the process of electing Major General Nguyen Duc Dung to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province for the 2021-2026 term.

As a result, 100% of delegates present voted unanimously to elect Major General Nguyen Duc Dung to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on the morning of August 6, the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Chin, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on approving Major General Nguyen Duc Dung - Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police - to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Major General Nguyen Duc Dung (57 years old), hometown Pho Van commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province (now Pho Van ward, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province).

Professional qualification: Master of Criminology and Criminal Investigation (People's Police Academy); political theory qualification: Advanced.

Deputy Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung has the following working history: Deputy Head of Investigation Security Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police; Deputy Head of Nong Son District Police, Quang Nam Province; Head of Political Protection Department; Head of Staff Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police; Deputy Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police; Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police and since February 2020, the President has promoted him from Colonel to Major General.

Since March 2020, the Secretariat of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (12th tenure) approved the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term; Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police.

From October 2020 to July 2024, Major General Nguyen Duc Dung was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police.
