Nearly 12 years as OCB General Director

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung joined OCB in April 2012 and officially assumed the position of General Director in August 2012. In April 2023, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung was re-elected as a member of the OCB Board of Directors.

At the end of April, Mr. Tung resigned as general director of Orient Bank to focus on his role as a member of the board of directors.

However, according to information released today, Mr. Tung continues to resign from his position as a member of the board of directors.

Thus, Mr. Tung has been in the position of general director for nearly 12 years and a member of the board of directors of Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) for more than 1 year before submitting his resignation.

"Resigned because of personal plans"

Sharing about this decision, Mr. Tung said that after resigning from the position of OCB General Director to focus on his role as a permanent member of the Board of Directors, he also had his own plans.

It is a deep focus on financial digitization projects, one of his passions and enthusiasms that he has pursued for a long time.

"In order to ensure transparency as well as comply with the provisions of the new Law on Credit Institutions effective from July 1, 2024, I have decided to submit my resignation from the position of member of the Board of Directors to focus on my upcoming personal work.

This plan has also been shared, received support and consensus from Mr. Trinh Van Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and I really appreciate this," said Mr. Tung.

Mr. Tung's resignation letter will be considered by the board of directors and submitted for approval at the nearest general meeting of shareholders.
