At the conference, Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced Decision No. 1419 - QDNS/TW, dated August 1, 2024 of the Politburo on approving Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Presenting the Politburo's decision and speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hung emphasized: Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh is a young, well-trained cadre; matured from the grassroots, experienced in many key leadership positions. In every working position, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh always upholds the spirit of responsibility, strives hard, dares to think, dares to do, completes well the assigned tasks, is trusted by the Politburo, and is assigned new responsibilities.

Mr. Le Minh Hung suggested that Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, in his new position, continue to promote his own working experience; inherit the lessons learned from previous leaders, promote pioneering and exemplary spirit, be the nucleus of solidarity with the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee to continue to successfully implement the goals set out in the Resolution of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, Hoang Quoc Khanh, thanked the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, and the Central Organization Committee for their trust and entrustment of the important task. As the head of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, he is deeply aware that this is an honor and at the same time a great responsibility before the Central Party Committee, the Politburo, the Party Committee, the Government, and the people of all ethnic groups in Son La Province.

The new Provincial Party Secretary promised to do his best, constantly study and practice to improve his political qualities, maintain his moral qualities, set an example in learning and absorbing the experiences of previous generations of leaders, and work together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, overcome all difficulties and challenges to bring Son La province to continue to develop, successfully implementing the goals set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.

On this occasion, Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee and the working delegation offered incense at Uncle Ho's Temple at Tay Bac Square, Son La city.
