Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong was born in 1980 in Hai Phong.

Mr. Truong has a high level of theory, a professional qualification of PhD in Sociology in 2010 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi and was appointed to the position of Associate Professor of Sociology in 2016.

The new Vice President of Hanoi National University is an expert in the fields of policy research and analysis; science, technology and innovation management.

With his contributions to training and developing human resources for science and technology management, building and developing postgraduate training programs on science and technology management in Vietnam, he was awarded the "For the cause of science and technology" medal by the Ministry of Science and Technology (2017) and a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister (2020).

Before holding the position of Vice President of Hanoi National University, Mr. Dao Thanh Truong held many leadership and management positions such as: Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management, Head of the Faculty of Management Science, Director of the Institute of Policy and Management (Key Research Center of Hanoi National University); Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Hanoi National University; Head of the Executive Board of the Scientists' Club of Hanoi National University.

Thus, currently, in addition to Director Le Quan, Hanoi National University has 4 deputy directors including Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Mr. Pham Bao Son, Mr. Nguyen Hieu and Mr. Dao Thanh Truong.
