Although he is passionate about agriculture , Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Duy, Tay Ninh commune (Tien Hai, Thai Binh) once encountered many difficulties in accumulating land. Understanding his wishes, the Party Committee, the government, and the Farmers' Association of the commune have promoted and mobilized people who do not need to use their fields to rent or borrow them for production.

Mr. Duy shared: Previously, my family only planted 5 sao, the area was fragmented so the efficiency was not high. Since the support and facilitation of the locality, I have rented and borrowed more fields for cultivation. Currently, I have accumulated more than 100 hectares of BC15 rice variety. To make cultivation and harvesting more convenient, I invested more than 4 billion VND in purchasing transplanters, harvesters, drones to spray pesticides... Thanks to that, I have not only reduced labor but also ensured the yield of more than 400 tons/crop. I hope that in the coming time, the locality will continue to support and create conditions for my family to accumulate more acreage to expand production.

Along with rice cultivation, Mr. Duy also converted more than 3,200m2 to dig ponds to raise commercial fish and grow fruit trees such as apples, jackfruit, bananas, and sapodilla. Each year, he harvests 10-13 tons of fish, creating jobs for 8 regular workers with an income of 5-7 million VND/person/month. Thanks to boldly accumulating land and investing systematically in production, Mr. Duy's family has an income of 600-700 million VND/year.

Mr. Bui Van Dung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tay Ninh Commune, said: Up to now, the commune has accumulated more than 50 hectares, of which 20 hectares are contiguous. The Farmers' Association of the commune has mobilized members to plant the same rice variety according to the policy of land accumulation and production zoning of the commune. The application of science and technology and improved production methods have contributed to raising the average annual yield to 12 tons/ha, an increase of 3-5 tons/ha compared to the previous term.

Along with that, the Commune Farmers' Association encouraged its members to boldly change the structure of crops and livestock according to the model of family farms, VAC farms and grow crops with high economic value. Many typical examples of farmers doing well economically, having high income, creating jobs for many local workers with stable income. Areas converting from rice fields to aquaculture bring in income from 70 - 100 million VND/year.

Mr. Pham Duc Nghia, Chairman of Tay Ninh Commune People's Committee, commented: Previously, many households did not need to use their fields, thinking that if they rented or borrowed their fields to other households, they would lose them. Recently, thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, it has contributed to changing people's awareness and creating high consensus in the policy of land accumulation. Many families have accumulated a lot of fields, forming large-scale field models and comprehensive farms with high economic efficiency.

Not only doing a good job in mass mobilization in land accumulation, the Party Committee and the Tay Ninh commune government also focused on directing and promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to donate land to expand roads and build new rural areas. Thanks to that, the locality has completed the criteria for advanced new rural areas in 2023.

In the coming time, the Party Committee and the communal government will continue to lead and direct the promotion of propaganda and mobilization of people to carry out the emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" in all fields, especially land accumulation. Along with that, support households to continue to accumulate land, choose suitable rice varieties, improve economic efficiency, and link with businesses to ensure stable output.
