20-year-old female student crowned Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024

The final round of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024 took place on the evening of January 11, gathering 30 beauties competing in the following competitions: Ao Dai, evening gown, and behavior.

The contest was held for the first season with the desire to honor Vietnamese ao dai. Taking on the role of judges are People's Artist Tran Nhuong , Meritorious Artist Quach Thu Phuong, Miss Ngoc Chau...

After the rounds, the top 3 contestants were named: Ha Hong Gam, Hoang Chau Anh and Do Thu Hien. In the final result, beauty Hoang Chau Anh from Cao Bang won the crown of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024.

During the behavioral round, Hoang Chau Anh received a question from Miss Ngoc Chau about the value of the ao dai.

Chau Anh shared that there are two main reasons why the ao dai has been able to survive through the ups and downs of history and is still closely associated with the image of Vietnamese women.

"First, the ao dai is not only a costume but also a cultural symbol, honoring the physical beauty and soul of gentle, resilient Vietnamese women. Second, the ao dai is always innovated to suit each period without losing its core features.

To me, the ao dai is the soul of the nation. Every time I wear the ao dai, I feel the cultural beauty and a deep sense of responsibility to preserve and spread that value," she shared.

In addition to the beauty queen title, Hoang Chau Anh also won two additional awards: Talented Beauty and Best Behavior Beauty .

The new Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam was born in 2005 and is currently a student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University. From the preliminary round, Chau Anh was a strong candidate for the title of Miss because she has a lovely face and is 1.73m tall. Chau Anh's beauty is considered modern, suitable for international beauty contests.

The title of first runner-up was given to contestant Do Thu Hien; second runner-up was given to contestant Ha Hong Gam; third runner-up was given to contestant Nguyen Thi Thao and fourth runner-up was given to contestant Le Thi Ngoc Lan.

Along with the crown, the beauty queen will receive a prize worth 500 million VND from the organizing committee.

The organizers said that Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam in the Miss Tourism World 2025 contest, hosted by Vietnam.
