The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to seize power (August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), Ho Chi Minh City organized many activities.

Specifically, from August 16 to September 6, the Exhibition will be held at Lam Son Park, Dong Khoi Street, District 1.
From 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 30, incense and flower offering ceremonies will be held to pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (No. 01 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, District 4); Ton Duc Thang Museum (No. 05 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1); President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street (District 1).
In addition, there are cultural, artistic and sports activities such as: Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Race; Dynamic Art Program to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to seize power (August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) held at 7:00 p.m. on September 2 at Nguyen Hue Walking Area (intersection with Ngo Duc Ke Street).
