Surprised to buy SJC gold bars

Ms. K. (Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City) said that at nearly 10:30 a.m. today, she ordered SJC gold bars on Vietcombank's website.

"When I placed my order, I thought there were no more seats left, but surprisingly, after just a few steps, the system reported that the order was successful. Previously, I always waited for the bank to open the sale to place an order, but the system always reported that there were no more seats left for today," said Ms. K.

The above case is not an isolated one. In gold trading groups, if in the past many people had to pay 500,000 - 1 million VND/tael to buy a spot for those who placed an order on their behalf, now many people are surprised "why is the system so smooth", they can place an order right away.

Some people even said that they successfully placed an order but the price was too high and they did not come to receive the gold. The bank called to ask if they would come to receive the gold, while in the past, if they were 30 minutes late, they would lose their slot.

According to records, this morning many people advertised to sell SJC gold bars on groups at the same price as the selling price at banks, which is 80 million VND/tael. Buyers only accepted to buy at 78-78.5 million VND/tael, which is equal to or 500,000 VND/tael higher than the buying price at SJC Company.

Because the price of SJC gold bars in the free market has fallen so sharply, many people who specialize in buying and selling or hunting for gold purchase opportunities have announced to leave the game since yesterday, because with the current price, if they surf, they will lose money.

With the speculators gone, today many people in need can suddenly buy gold directly from banks, while previously they tried every way but could not compete with the forces specializing in hunting for gold spots.

The State Bank itself previously acknowledged this, and said it had worked specifically with the police to combat this issue.

SJC gold bar price is 4.69 million VND/tael higher than the world price

This afternoon, the world gold price was at 2,460 USD/ounce. Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 75.31 million VND/tael.

Today, four banks in the Big4 group still maintain the gold selling price at 80 million VND/tael.

SJC Company sells at 80 million VND/tael, buys at 78 million VND/tael. Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 4.69 million VND/tael higher.

Meanwhile, the price of 9999 gold rings of brands is still close to the threshold of 78 million VND/tael. At SJC Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings is 77.9 million VND/tael, buying price is 76.6 million VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company also increased the selling price of 9999 gold rings to 77.88 million VND/tael, buying at 76.68 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, DOJI Company listed the buying and selling price of gold rings at 76.7 - 77.9 million VND/tael.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the selling price of 9999 gold rings is about 2.59 million VND/tael higher.
