This is an annual award organized by the International Data Group in Vietnam (IDG Vietnam) in conjunction with the Vietnam Retail Banking Forum event series in collaboration with the Vietnam Banking Association and other departments.

The award is held to seek and honor banking products and services with outstanding and typical performance, making practical contributions to the development of banking and the financial sector in particular as well as society in general.

The forum has been held since 2012 and has affirmed its position as a leading conference, contributing valuable information, solutions and experiences to the overall development of retail banking activities in Vietnam.

In fact, green credit and retail activities have become strategic spearheads of many banks in recent years, contributing significantly to the growth of banks.

Nam A Bank is one of the pioneer banks in developing green credit in Vietnam. The Bank's strategy until 2025 is to become a Green Bank. Over the years, Nam A Bank has "greened" its credit portfolio, continuously building a diverse portfolio of green credit products, focusing on the following areas: Green consumption; Smart agriculture ; Green tourism; Green business.

In Nam A Bank's overall lending policy, not only does it apply the environmental and social management system (ESMS) in its green credit lending portfolio, but it also aims to operate in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner. The bank does not consider green finance as just a business aspect, but also a responsibility and a strategic vision to contribute to the sustainable development of the community.

In terms of retail, Nam A Bank has continuously achieved many outstanding development achievements - as the only bank in the banking system to have its shares listed on HoSE in the past 6 months, Nam A Bank continues to affirm its sustainable development with positive operating results. In particular, pre-tax profit in the first 6 months of 2024 broke out, reaching more than VND 2,200 billion (completing more than 55% of the 2024 plan), Nam A Bank's total assets reached more than VND 228,000 billion (completing 98.7% of the 2024 plan).

Of which, capital mobilized from residents and economic organizations grew well, reaching nearly 173,000 billion VND (up more than 9.4% over the same period in 2023, completing 97.1% of the 2024 plan). Outstanding customer loans grew in line with the credit growth limit licensed by the State Bank, reaching nearly 157,000 billion VND (up 21.2% over the same period in 2023).
