This "Drone Light Show" event is a unique light competition using thousands of drones, called Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024. With the theme "Brilliant Galaxy" it will take place on the night of July 13 and July 20, 2024. This is an international event, compared to the world's leading light show events today such as the Vivid Sydney Light Festival in Sydney, Australia. Or the Fête des Lumières Festival in Lyon, France. However, no light festival in the world has been organized as a light show competition using drones. And the drone light show in Nha Trang this time is organized as a competition. There is a huge number of drones with at least 1,000 from each participating team.

The 2024 Nha Trang International Light Festival is the first drone light show competition in Vietnam, organized by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province in coordination with the Department of Tourism of Khanh Hoa province and accompanying partners. The photo series was submitted by the author to the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam", organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications. 
Also using 1,000 drones, the performance of the UAE team nicknamed "light wizards" shone brightly in the sky of Vinpearl Habour Festival Square with light magic that made a strong impression on the audience. The drones used by the UAE team were super light, super bright combined with pyrotechnics, showing the simplest images from the coffee filter familiar to most Vietnamese people to the image of the Dong Son bronze drum - symbolizing the history and long-standing culture of Vietnam, or the image of "Dragon", "Lac bird" - symbols of strength, sacredness, and origin of the Vietnamese people - "Dragon's descendants", Lotus flower - representing the personality and soul of the Vietnamese people... Besides, some images of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, a dynamic, creative and friendly tourist destination were also fully reproduced in the sky. The 2024 International Bay of Light Festival will be held in Nha Trang because it is always an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. With unique resort and island tourism products and diverse tourism activities. And this large-scale and unique drone light performance event promises to contribute to promoting Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to become an attractive, civilized and friendly tourist destination. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" will continue to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over.
