On August 7, information from the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province said that the People's Committee of this province has issued a document terminating the brick and tile factory project in Binh Tan commune, Tan Thanh district, Long An, invested by Bao Tran Mining Company Limited.

This project was approved by Long An Provincial People's Committee in January 2016 with an area of ​​7 hectares. The goal is to produce bricks and tiles with a total investment of 60 billion VND. According to the approved policy, the project will be put into operation in January 2017.

However, the recent inspection process shows that the investor has not completed the site clearance and land procedures to receive the land. The investor has not yet carried out environmental and construction procedures and has not yet put the project into operation.

During the inspection, the investor submitted a document to terminate the project. Therefore, the Long An Provincial People's Committee issued a document to terminate the project.

The Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province said that in the first 6 months of the year, it inspected and reviewed 20 projects in industrial parks and 21 projects outside industrial parks. Of these, 21 decisions on administrative sanctions in the field of planning and investment were issued, with a total fine of more than 1.7 billion VND.

Violations include failure to properly implement the investment policy, delay in progress, failure to adjust the investment certificate, and failure to report on investment activities as prescribed.

In addition, through the coordination of inspections of the operations of 17 enterprises according to the Enterprise Law, 5 decisions were issued to impose administrative penalties of VND 120 million due to the enterprises declaring dishonest and inaccurate records.
