According to CNN, the United Auto Workers (UAW) union has filed a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, accusing them of making some threatening statements to workers during a recent live interview on social network X.

UAW President Shawn Fain said federal law does not allow for firing workers who are on strike, and that threatening to fire them violates the National Labor Relations Act. He said both former President Trump and Mr. Musk made inappropriate statements during the interview.
Previously, in a live interview on social network X on the evening of August 12 (local time), former President Trump and billionaire Musk mentioned some content related to strikes and work stoppages.
The UAW has recently endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming race for the White House. Meanwhile, billionaire Musk has made many statements and donated money to support Mr. Trump's campaign. In May 2024, the Wall Street Journal reported that Mr. Trump and billionaire Musk discussed the role that the billionaire could play in the administration if the former president was re-elected. Mr. Musk then denied the information.
Musk, who owns social network X, technology corporation SpaceX, electric car company Tesla and several other companies, has been criticized for blocking employees from forming unions and is said to have a personal vendetta against employees who protested working conditions at SpaceX.
