The 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival takes place from April 11 to 13.

(GLO)- On March 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province issued Official Dispatch No. 565/SVHTTDL-QLVH to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities regarding the adjustment of the time to organize the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025.

Accordingly, the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival - 2025 will take place for 3 days (from April 11 to 13) at Dai Doan Ket Square (Pleiku City).

The time adjustment is to help prepare conditions for activities at the festival carefully, ensuring requirements according to the province's direction.

Previously, on December 26, 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Plan No. 126/KH-SVHTTDL on organizing the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025.

According to this Plan, the festival will take place earlier (from April 4 to 6) with the participation of artisans from 17 districts, towns and cities.

The festival includes main activities such as: Night of exchange and meeting with ethnic groups of Gia Lai province; Re-enactment of community living space of ethnic groups; Performance of ethnic costumes, artistic stilt walking, gong tuning techniques; Display and introduction of local specialties and cuisine and organization of folk games (rice pounding with double pestle, sack jumping relay).

This is an activity organized annually by Gia Lai province starting from 2022 to preserve, promote and develop the cultural heritage of ethnic groups.
