VN-Index increased strongly in the first session of the week |
In addition to the Banking group, the market had a big boost from the Real Estate group when a series of codes recorded an increase of 3%-7% such as KDH, BCM, DXG, TCH, NLG, HDC. With the pull of the two large groups and many other small groups increasing slightly, the VN-Index skyrocketed in the afternoon session to 1,336.26 points; 10.11 points higher than the reference. Liquidity on HoSE reached nearly 20 trillion VND. Foreign investors net bought nearly 160 billion VND on 3 floors.
Commenting on the underlying market, experts said that Asian stocks rose in unison following optimism about the Chinese economy after Beijing outlined targeted measures to boost spending. Domestically, the VN-Index increased by more than 10 points with the pull from the Banking and Real Estate groups.
Technically, VN-Index rose to 1,336 points, escaping the correction of the previous two sessions. Experts predict that VN-Index will retest the peak of 1,340 points in the next session. Investors are advised to keep their stock proportion at a moderate level and limit buying hot stocks.
From VCBS's perspective, after the correction at the end of last week, the VN-Index regained momentum when it opened in green today and maintained a stable increase during the session. The VN-Index increased by 10 points mainly thanks to the buying pressure in the afternoon session. Besides VCB and HPG, the two blue-chip stocks that contributed the most to the overall score, the highlight of the session belonged to the group of small and medium-sized bank stocks with impressive increases such as SHB (+5.61%), NAB (+6.25%), VPB (+2.3%). Near the end of the session, the market recorded some small fluctuations when selling pressure appeared.
The performance of VN-Index in the first half of the afternoon session was similar to the morning session with an increase of 4-5 points. However, towards the end of the session, the demand gradually increased, helping the general index to widen its increase and close near the session's highest level. In addition to the banking group, some other large-cap stocks such as HVN and BCM also recorded green with positive increases and the real estate group also had impressive cash flow attraction, contributing to strengthening the overall momentum.
VN-Index closed at 1,336.26 points, up 10.11 points, equivalent to 0.76%. Technical analysis, VCBS said, VN-Index ended the session with a green candlestick increasing points, showing the stable participation of disbursement demand and consolidating the market score around the 1,330-1,340 point range.
On the daily chart, the ADX and +DI lines are anchored at high levels, indicating a sustainable upward trend of the market. Along with that, the MACD and CMF indicators are also pointing to high points, further consolidating the development of the VN-Index in the past 2 months. However, the RSI indicator continuously creates small peaks/bottoms in the high zone, so the appearance of short-term fluctuations is inevitable.
On the hourly chart, the general index surpassed the MA20 line thanks to positive demand at the end of the afternoon session. The MACD line showed a signal of crossing the signal line and at the same time the RSI indicator also pointed up, indicating that the general momentum continues to be well maintained. However, the ADX line is below 25 points, so pay attention to the possibility of a tug-of-war in the next session.
Regarding trading strategy, VCBS believes that the market is showing signs of maintaining stable momentum and holding above the 1,330 point mark with a somewhat overwhelming number of green stocks. Investors are recommended to continue maintaining the portfolio proportion for stocks that are in a good upward trend and have not yet encountered strong selling pressure; at the same time, investors should take advantage of selectively selecting stocks with positive expectations for Q1/2025 business results plus successful support testing signals after the adjustment period to disburse in part when the market fluctuates.
