According to the separate financial reports of the second quarter of 2024 of 28 commercial banks (27 listed banks along with Agribank), these banks contributed more than VND 30,800 billion to the State budget in corporate income tax in the first 6 months of this year, an increase of 8.82% over the same period last year.

In addition to corporate income tax, banks are also obliged to pay value added tax and other taxes, fees and charges.
