Improve the quality of propaganda work in the army

On August 5, at the Army Academy, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics opened the 2024 military-wide professional reporter training conference.

In his opening speech, Colonel Nguyen The Manh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics, emphasized that, based on the important position and role of oral propaganda work and reporter activities for the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, our Party always pays attention to synchronously issuing directives and resolutions to effectively lead this special and important work. The Minister of National Defense has decided to issue the project "Innovation of oral propaganda work and reporter activities in the Vietnam People's Army until 2025 and the following years".

In order for the training conference to achieve its objectives and requirements, the Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department requested that the Organizing Committee strictly implement the approved plan and program; the reporters select appropriate issues and communication methods, provide practical and useful information; focus on solving difficulties, obstacles, and practical problems, especially new ones.

According to the program, the cadres attending the training were introduced to 6 topics to unify the awareness, motto, implementation process, promote the functions, tasks, and responsibilities of the Party Committee, political commissar, political officer, commander, and political agency in leading, directing, and implementing comprehensively, synchronously, and effectively the oral propaganda work and reporter activities in the entire army. At the same time, they visited typical models of the Army Academy; attended the exchange program with the head, former head of the Propaganda Department, head of the Army Academy... and military reporters who won high prizes at the national excellent reporter competitions.

After the military-level training conference, the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics directed agencies and units to deploy training according to the hierarchy prescribed in the Regulations on oral propaganda work and reporter activities in the Vietnam People's Army, issued under Decision No. 1356 of the Director of the General Department of Politics.

The training conference will take place until August 8, 2024.
