Vietcombank has announced an adjustment in the delivery time of gold bars to customers. Accordingly, due to changes in the process of transporting, receiving and managing gold bars, from today (August 8), this bank will deliver gold bars to customers 2 working days after the customer successfully registers to buy gold bars.

Similarly, VietinBank has also adjusted the delivery time of SJC gold bars from August 8. This bank will deliver SJC gold bars to customers after 2 working days, from the date the customer successfully completes the registration and payment for purchasing SJC gold bars at VietinBank's points of sale.

Thus, customers will have to spend 3 days (including the day of registration) to complete the purchase of SJC gold bars at the above 2 banks. In case of registration on Friday, customers will have to spend up to 5 days (because Sunday and Saturday are not working days) to receive gold.

Previously, since the beginning of June, the monetary authority increased the supply of gold bars to the market by selling gold directly to four state-owned banks and SJC Company.

Initially, banks and SJC Company sold gold directly at transaction points. However, the demand for buying from people was high, there were queues and crowds, so these units switched to selling online (allowing buyers to order on the website and receive gold at the branch), instead of directly at their points of sale. In some units, customers even had to have a bank account to buy SJC gold bars.

Currently, the price of SJC gold bars is sold at 78.5 million VND/tael. However, registering to buy gold directly at 4 state-owned banks and SJC Company has not been easy in recent times. The websites of banks and SJC often "rotate" right from the opening to allow registration to buy, and also quickly run out of turns. These units also limit each person to buy a maximum of one amount of gold bars.
