I can sit for hours on a street bench next to Marienplatz Square (Munich - Germany) just to watch the streets and the bustling crowd at 9pm without the need for street lights.
From ancient to modern
Munich is the third largest city, after Berlin and Hamburg, in Germany - one of the world's leading economies. If Berlin is famous for its treasures of cultural heritage and historical relics, Munich is memorable for its ancient and modern beauty. Considered the most livable city in Germany, this place is famous for the famous Oktoberfest beer festival.
One day in late July, the summer was bright and dazzling from 5am to 9pm. The streets were bright and bustling with people. Sitting in a lakeside restaurant in Munich for the first time as the sun shone on the calm lake at 9pm, I felt both strange and excited.

When you come to Munich, don't forget to schedule a visit to Nymphenburg Palace - the most impressive architectural work in Germany. This is also one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe because of the combination of royal architecture and castle park.
Nymphenburg Castle was built in 1664 and was once the summer residence of the German royal family. The magnificent structure features interiors of small castles decorated elaborately in the Rococo style with exquisite carvings. When visiting the castle, many visitors often stop to linger in the room with portraits of 36 of the most beautiful women from all walks of life at that time.
I also wandered around Marienplatz Square for hours. Built in the 12th century, Marienplatz was once the site of medieval markets, celebrations and tournaments. Today, the square has become a tourist attraction, including many Vietnamese people. Visitors can stroll around the old town hall, the church, then shop at famous brands or enjoy drinks and food here all day without getting bored.
Why go to Munich?
Among the Vietnamese tourists visiting Munich, some had traveled to Europe before. However, for them, Munich has an irresistible appeal and is considered "the most livable city in the land of beer".
Anh Minh, a tourist from Hanoi, is determined that after this trip, he will definitely return to Munich again next October with his family to participate in the Oktoberfest beer festival. "Munich has its own charm that you have to discover and experience yourself to fully appreciate the ancient beauty of the castles or the modernity of Germany's leading economic center," he said excitedly.

On the way from the hotel to the BMW Museum, we saw a continuous stream of cars carrying BMWs passing by. According to Mr. Benedikt Brandmeier, Director of the Munich Tourist Office, this is one of the two cities with the most vibrant nightlife in Germany.
Munich has a diverse cultural history, owns many ancient castles and is convenient to travel to many other tourist attractions in the area. Munich is an economic center, an industrial city, famous for the BMW brand. BMW is not only a luxury car brand in the world, a symbol of the German automobile industry, but currently, the BMW complex in this area has become a very attractive tourist destination. The BMW Welt showroom alone welcomes more than 2 million visitors each year.
When coming to this city, visitors are not only impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the people but also surprised by the way the locality develops tourism. When we experienced the electric bike service around Munich, the driver suddenly turned on the music. The familiar songs in Vietnamese resounded on the German streets, making us feel warm.
Knowing that he would be serving a group of Vietnamese tourists, the driver thoughtfully found some songs in advance to make them more comfortable. During the long journey, the driver happily chatted, was willing to take photos and videos for the tourists, and rarely left with a smile.
Just a few days in Munich gave me an indescribable feeling of leisure - not only because of the cool summer with temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, but also because of the scenery, the people and their warmth and hospitality.
Open more direct flights
During our visit to Munich, our tour group took a flight from Hanoi straight to Frankfurt, then moved to Munich. It is expected that from October 2024, Vietnam Airlines will officially open and operate a direct flight between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich, meeting the needs of passengers. The flight routes between Hanoi and Munich (2 flights/week), Ho Chi Minh City - Munich (1 flight/week) are expected to contribute to boosting revenue, developing trade, investment, and tourism between the two markets.
