(NADS) - On the morning of August 9, 2024, in Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, the Vietnam Journalists Association and Thai Nguyen province held the inauguration and handover of the project to restore and embellish the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School Relic.
Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project to restore and embellish the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School Relic.
Attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Le Quoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh and leaders and delegates visited the relic.
This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024). It is also the first activity in a series of activities towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2025).
Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association delivered the opening speech.
After nearly 7 months of construction, the project was completed with technical and aesthetic assurance. With the inauguration of the project to restore and embellish the National Historical Relic of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, the Vietnam Journalists Association and Thai Nguyen province hope to exploit and promote the great historical values of the Relic; add another meaningful destination to the map of contemporary Vietnamese journalism, meet the expectations of generations of journalists nationwide, and actively contribute to the work of propaganda and historical education.
The school was renovated and embellished as an important cultural and historical work to honor the great journalistic heritage that President Ho Chi Minh and previous revolutionary journalists left for today's and future generations of journalists.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province Trinh Viet Hung awarded Certificates of Merit to two collectives with outstanding achievements and contributions to the construction of the National Historical Site of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School. Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper gave gifts to 20 local students. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, former member of the Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts, and relatives of former students of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School visited the relic site. Cultural exchange at the ceremony The bas-relief depicts portraits of 48 members of the board of directors, lecturers and students of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School. NB-NSNA Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine (light blue shirt) and delegates took a souvenir photo at the National Monument of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School.
