Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro officially runs free of charge to pick up passengers from 8am this morning

A representative of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that from 8:00 a.m. on August 8, the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line will officially begin commercial operation to serve passengers.

The elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay includes 8 stations: Nhon (S1), Minh Khai (S2), Phu Dien (S3), Cau Dien (S4), Le Duc Tho (S5), National University (S6), Chua Ha (S7), Cau Giay (S8).

In the first 3 months, the route will open at 5:30 am and close at 10 pm, with trains running every 10 minutes. On the first day of opening, the route will start at 8 am.

In the coming time, depending on passenger demand, adjustments will be made to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the route.

The ticket price for one-way travel is 8,000 VND, and for the whole route is 12,000 VND/trip. The daily ticket is 24,000 VND, valid for one day, with no limit on the number of trips.

General ticket 200,000 VND/month; priority ticket for students 100,000 VND/month; group ticket 140,000 VND/month. Free for children under 6 years old, meritorious people, people over 60 years old, people with disabilities.

In particular, during the first 15 days of commercial operation, all passengers will be served free of charge.

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway is a radial route, running from the outskirts of the capital deep into the inner city. The route helps Hanoi traffic reduce pressure on vehicles, congestion, and pressure on bus routes on the same route.

The plan to enhance connectivity and passenger transfer by bus has also been completed by the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center. Along the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway route, there are 36 bus routes in operation (of which, 33 are subsidized and 3 are non-subsidized); 2 passenger transfer points at Cau Giay and Nhon; 32 bus stops (16 stops on the Cau Giay - Nhon route, 16 stops on the Nhon - Cau Giay route).
