On August 8, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) was honored to receive the “Best Workplace in Asia” award and the special category award “Enterprise with sustainable working environment” by HR Asia - Asia's leading prestigious human resources magazine.

Continuing to be honored as “Best Workplace in Asia” is a testament to MB’s outstanding efforts in creating a sustainable working environment, continuously creating value for customers and bringing happiness to employees.
In particular, 2024 is the first time the Organizing Committee has honored the special award category "Sustainable Workplace Awards - Enterprises with sustainable working environment" and MB is honored to be the bank to receive this prestigious award.
This year, in Vietnam, there were 704 businesses participating in the nomination and 53,250 employees participating in the survey. In particular, MB's average score when participating in the survey on all three evaluation criteria, including Core (Strategy - Structure), Self (Individual) and Group (Group) were all higher than the market average.
With the goal of becoming a Digital Enterprise - a leading financial group, MB always encourages every individual to have the opportunity to make decisions to solve problems, to test development solutions according to the trend of the times, aiming to build a close-knit, talented team in a continuous, long-term process. The results of the special category award "Enterprise with sustainable working environment" are proof that MB always emphasizes environmental and social factors in organizational operations and prioritizes enterprises with environmentally friendly activities, aiming for sustainable development. As of June 30, 2024, green credit across MB reached VND 63,633 billion, accounting for about 9.5% of credit scale, focusing on the fields of clean energy, renewable energy and sustainable agriculture and forestry.
In addition, MB also uses digital platforms to boost operational efficiency and minimize environmental impact. To date, more than 90% of internal operations have been carried out via digital channels, 100% of office areas are integrated with green, environmentally friendly spaces, creating motivation and improving labor productivity for each employee.
Sharing with HR Asia, Ms. Dang Minh Huyen, MB's Human Resources Director, said that building a corporate culture with identity, sustainable development, promoting learning and creativity is the focus in the journey to realize the strategy of becoming a Digital Enterprise - a leading Financial Group of MB.
“Towards becoming a Digital Enterprise - a Happy and Sustainable Organization, we have integrated ESG sustainability factors into MB's strategy; at the same time, many important initiatives have been and are being implemented with the goal of improving the maturity level of ESG practices in the organization, contributing to increasing MB's reputation and effectiveness while contributing to national and global sustainable development goals,” said Ms. Huyen.

Building a corporate culture with identity, sustainable development, promoting learning and creativity is the focus of MB.
MB also demonstrates its social responsibility through charity and social security projects implemented throughout the years. In the period from 2021-2023 alone, MB has spent 886 billion VND on social work. Notably, in 2023, Hi-Green - a campaign to convey the message of sustainable living was initiated. The campaign attracted more than 30,000 participants, mobilizing 8.1 billion VND through sports activities and smart charity accumulation. All the money was used to implement the initiative to turn landfills into ecological playgrounds, bringing happiness to tens of thousands of children and people across Vietnam.
