With the double awards of 'Outstanding Bank for Green Credit' and 'Outstanding Bank for the Community', the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) once again affirmed its pioneering steps in its journey of sustainable development with the goal of bringing good values to the environment and society.

The Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards (VOBA) are organized by the International Data Group (IDG) in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies, the University of Economics and Law, the Vietnam Banking Association and the Vietnam Digital Communications Association. The award selection committee includes representatives of management agencies, experts in the fields of Finance - Banking and information technology serving the banking industry.
As one of the earliest banks to make a 'green' mark, MB has implemented many initiatives to promote sustainable development inside and outside MB. Typically, MB has built a Corporate Sustainable Development Strategy integrating business strategy, with a vision and mission towards 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations and the country, orienting activities to integrate international standards on environment - society - governance in all operations and services of the bank.
“We focus on building policies for diverse green products that meet the criteria of 12 national green industry groups and are easy for businesses to access,” said Mr. Pham Nhu Anh, General Director of MB. He also said that the ratio of green credit to the total credit scale of the bank is high, about 11% in 2023.

In addition, with the Charity App, MB is also known as a pioneer bank in digital transformation of charity work, using technology to raise awareness and move towards transparent and sustainable charity behaviors. To date, the platform has attracted more than 1.1 million members, providing utilities for nearly 1,200 organizations and individuals to raise funds, organize more than 4,900 campaigns, mobilize more than 710 billion VND in donations, becoming the most active charity platform for resource mobilization today. Phuc Tan Playground - the first project to benefit from the Green Dawn campaign "Turning landfills into playgrounds" initiated by MB
With the Green Dawn campaign "Turning landfills into playgrounds", MB has successfully converted the running kilometers of staff and the community into money to renovate spontaneous landfills into playgrounds. In 2023, Phuc Tan playground (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) - the first project to benefit with a scale of 1,000m2 was completed to the joy of local residents. Or with the physical HiGreen credit card - made from environmentally friendly and non-physical materials - integrated on the MBBank App, MB and its partners, on behalf of customers, deduct 1% of card spending to contribute to environmental and social projects.
