During the past term, with the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, the coordination of the government and member organizations, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has promoted its role as a bridge between the Party and the people, gathering the people into a strong bloc of great unity, contributing to the development of Thai Nguyen province.

The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has led and directed the implementation of 13/14 targets for the 2019-2024 term; mobilized more than 607.2 billion VND for social security and charity activities; of which, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province reached more than 137.5 billion VND, the "Tet Peak Week for the Poor" program from 2019 to present has mobilized more than 207.2 billion VND to support the poor. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has signed regulations and programs to coordinate work with 28 agencies and units.

In the 2024-2029 term, the congress set out a number of targets: Every year, 100% of residential areas and inter-residential areas organize the "National Great Unity Day"; 100% of poor and near-poor households in the province receive support and assistance from all levels; each year, preside over the organization of supervision of at least 2 topics...

Speaking at the congress, comrade Do Van Chien highly appreciated and agreed with the drafts and documents submitted to the congress; commended and acknowledged the results that the Fatherland Front at all levels of Thai Nguyen province had achieved in the past term, actively contributing to socio-economic development, consolidating the great solidarity bloc of the people in the province.

Emphasizing the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period, comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province continue to thoroughly grasp and synchronously implement Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country increasingly prosperous and happy" to create the highest solidarity and consensus, becoming an endogenous strength to promote rapid and sustainable development.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province needs to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, stay close to the grassroots, stay close to the people, promote the application of information technology, adapt to the digital society to propagate and mobilize people in the direction of the whole people, comprehensively, with focus, key points, close to local realities.

Effectively implement the Law on Grassroots Democracy, further promote the people's mastery, effectively implement the motto: People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit, taking "people's peace" as the decisive factor for all victories in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

After 2 days of organization, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thai Nguyen province was a great success.

Comrade Do Van Chien requested to promote training, fostering and training of cadres working in the front so that in any circumstances, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels must maintain the "blood-and-flesh" relationship between the Party, the State and the people, maintain the solidarity of the Party Committee, solidarity between components, classes and social strata.

On this occasion, comrade Do Van Chien awarded the Third Class Independence Medal of the President to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

The Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has consulted and elected 78 delegates who are members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, term XVI; 7 delegates to attend the 10th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province consulted and elected comrade Duong Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, to be re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
