The WBA Asia Vietnam Tournament is organized by the Vietnam Professional Boxing Board (VBC), the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) in collaboration with the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia region and Shadow Entertainment. The tournament is proud to be included in the competition system of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia region.

Eight top Vietnamese boxers competed in the quarterfinals of the super bantamweight (-56 kg) category to select two pairs for the semi-finals taking place in December. Right in the first quarter-final match between Le Van Hien (HCMC) and Le Van Cuong (Army), fans were delighted with the tricky punches from the two opponents, creating an eye-catching match with the victory belonging to the HCM City boxer. In the second quarter-final match, Dinh Van Lenh (MMA Saigon) dominated the match, defeating Tran Duc Khoa (Bac Lieu) after 4 rounds.

Luong Trung Nguyen (Hanoi) also had a convincing victory over Son Hung Vi (HCMC) in the next quarter-final match. The final quarter-final match between Truong Van Vinh (Army) and Can Minh Thai (Hanoi) was very intense. The two fighters used all their skills, battle experience and will on the ring and the ticket to the semi-finals went to Army fighter Truong Van Vinh.

Thus, the two semi-final pairs of the super bantamweight category are determined to be the confrontations between Le Van Hien (HCMC) and Dinh Van Lenh (MMA Saigon), Luong Trung Nguyen (Hanoi) and Truong Van Vinh (Army).

Also at the WBA Asia Vietnam Tournament 2024, there were 2 championship matches. Lequan Wang (China) defeated Anuson Thonglueang (Thailand) to become the WBA Asia East super lightweight champion. Avzalbek Kuranbaev (Tajikistan) successfully defended the WBA Asia super welterweight title when defeating Dacong Wang (China).
